This sketch was possibly done for the watercolour painting 'Trio' depicting Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi and C.F. Andrews after their historic meeting at Jorasanko, Kolkata in 1921. The painting is in the collection of Kala Bhawan, Santiniketan and has been reproduced in 'Paintings of Abanindrnath Tagore' by R. Sivakumar.
