    Nandalal Bose

A Boat at Rajmahal (A Sketch from Album No. 2), 01.11.1930 4974 Nandalal Bose Pen & Ink on postcard

×
Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. The above landscape by the artist depicts the perceptible view of Banaras Ghat (referring to the place in India) from a distance. This has been rendered with fluid, fine strokes of pen and ink delineating the forms, adding rhythm and vigour to the composition.
