Nandalal's drawings on postcards are spontaneous done either with pen or a brush, the aim was simply to capture the subject and the moment. In this sketch, Nandalal has depicted a landscape with huts, a bullock cart and a woman standing in the foreground. The sketch has been swiftly executed in swift, loose brush strokes that suggest the depth and light in the composition, sparing much detail in the image.
