Nandalal's drawings on postcards are spontaneous done either with pen or a brush, the aim was simply to capture the subject and the moment. In this sketch, Nandalal has depicted a landscape with three women cooking under tree, swiftly executed, loose brush strokes that suggest the depth and light in the composition, sparing much detail in the image. His urge to portray his surrounding is apparent in his sketches.
