Nandalal preferred drawing from life, often sketching outdoors with the subject being life, nature studies, landscapes, figure drawings, animals or anything that he found fascinating. Here in this postcard, the artist has depicted an architectural structure rendered with dark, smudged coloured strokes, layered with stippling done with ink, adding texture to the thick walls and bringing out the true form of the structure.
