Album No. -7 (A Landscape) 7171 Nandalal Bose Charcoal on postcard

×
Nandalal preferred drawing from life, often sketching outdoors with the subject being life, nature studies, landscapes, figure drawings, animals or anything that he found fascinating. This particular sketch executed with quick strokes is one of many the examples of Nandalal's acute observation. Here in this postcard, he has made a quick rendition of a landscape in smudged charcoal strokes, suggesting a bridge in the background, three human figure and tree in the foreground.
