Album No. -7 (A Landscape) 7176 Nandalal Bose Charcoal on postcard

×
Nandalal preferred drawing from life, often sketching outdoors with the subject being life, nature studies, landscapes, figure drawings, animals or anything that he found fascinating. This particular sketch executed with quick strokes is one of many examples of Nandalal's acute observation. Here in this postcard, he has made a quick rendition of a landscape in dark charcoal strokes, suggesting three human figures in the foreground and trees, bushes and a building in the background.
