Nandalal's drawings on postcards are spontaneous done either with pen or a brush, the aim was simply to capture the subject and the moment. In this sketch, Nandalal has depicted a landscape with a boat in the foreground, rendered in dark loose angular brush strokes. He has studied the forms in a minimalist manner, sparing much detail in the image.
