Nandalal Bose was indefatigable in his sketching routines that formed an adjunct part of his daily life. In this sketch. he portrays a man carrying his belongings on his shoulder and holding a stick in his right hand. The fluid handling of the line and the dark ink strokes suggest the modelling of the body and the facial features.
