A Sketch from Album No. 17 7344 Nandalal Bose Pencil on postcard

×
This is another one of Nandalal's quickly executed sketches. Characterised by their loose strokes and outlines, their purpose is to serve as studies of poses as well as an exploration of forms at their most basic. Here the artist renders the form of a woman dressed in traditional Northern Indian attire of a long skirt and a drape that covers the head.
