Nandalal had a strong affinity for sketching, his subjects being the surrounding environs, people in their everyday life or anything that he found fascinating. This work by Nandalal captures an everyday scene in all its subtlety. The two crows hovering about two snoozing cows rendered with quick strokes of a pencil, lend an air of humour to the image.
