This postcard portrays a detailed drawing of the house and its surroundings at Tithal (Gujarat), a rest place for Mahatma Gandhi and Nandalal before the Haripura Congress convention of 1938. Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line, an influence of the Far Eastern art practices, allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to his subjects.
