Nandalal had a strong affinity for sketching, his subjects being the surrounding environs, people in their everyday life or anything that he found fascinating. In this sketch, he has depicted two men, probably titles seller as the inscription suggest. This has been executed in fluid yet firm, bold strokes, suggesting the modelling of the forms and adding grace to the composition.
