×
The techniques of harmonious dilution of colours Nandalal acquired from the arts of the Far East. In this painting of the hills of Darjeeling, he has utilised the tonal variations of black ink with water for creating a recognisable effect of mountains covered with snow. He has also depicted trees and vegetation peculiar to a hill terrain at the lower left foreground with ink patches.
