Nandalal's connection with nature is evident in his drawings. Often these drawings are small in scale although invigorating with the rich detailing of the artist's observations, experiences and sojourns to various places. Here Nandalal has rendered multiple drawings of a cow's head with an aim to understand its anatomy. He has studied the forehead, nostril and muzzle from different angles and rendered them with spontaneous line strokes which are directional in nature.
