Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. In this sketch Nandalal studies in detail the contours of a plant, commonly known as 'Uchhe' in Bengali, with its flowers and leaves, rendered in fine and fluid contouring lines.
