Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. In this sketch, Nandalal studies in detail the contours of a plant, with its flowers and leaves, rendered in fine lines and smudged strokes.
