Nandalal made instantaneous visual records of anything present in his surroundings. This sketch shows a gate of a building which has been inaugurated as ?Subhash Babu? as mentioned in the inscription along the lower margin of the postcard. The horizontal strokes of the drawing give linear perspective and motion to the whole sketch.
