This pencil drawing shows a houseboat along the forested banks of a river with few lines required to define the thick flora behind. The parallel strokes along the boat give an impression of slow flowing water. These strokes also lead into the expanse of calm in the water, left bare in the foreground, mirroring the calm of the sky above.
