This is another of the three drawings in this series that was painted on one of Nandalal's trips to Gopalpur, near Puri, on the eastern Indian coast of Orissa. Here he has depicted the local fishermen at work. His spontaneous brush strokes delineate the struggle with their canoes at the seashore during a high tide. Nandalal has made this complete picture with the amalgamation of strength and traditional systems of a tribe.
