Nandalal is known to have fervently sketched on postcard sized papers mostly using ink and brush, recording his surroundings. In the above monochromatic sketch, the artist has rendered few fishermen sitting near the seashore, executed with the dabs and dashes of watercolour articulating the prancing waves and delineating the forms.
