Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of the figures. This painting by him depicts a woman carrying a pot over her head. With bold, fluid lines Nandalal defines the contours of the woman's slender body, rendered against the backdrop of a serene landscape.
