Nandalal Bose created a visual language with the use of monochromatic tones and simple brush strokes to model and bring out a corporeality of forms and substances. In this postcard, he renders a group of local fishermen at work, probably bringing their canoes at the seashore. The artist has used a series of diverse tones of multiple colours and sweeping brush strokes to render this composition.
