Nandalal had a strong affinity for sketching and drawing, instantly recording in the postcard sized papers his subjects from the surrounding environs, people in their everyday life, animals, flora and fauna or anything that he found fascinating. Here he has rendered a scene of a crowed local bazaar with people engaged in their chores. Executed in soft, fluid brush strokes that delineate the contours of the forms and add life and vitality to the composition.
