This postcard shows two men in a temporary settlement, one engrossed in food preparations and the other sitting under a canopy of palm leaves. Nandalal renders the subject elaborately in hues of watercolour, from the lightest wash to the thickest black, defining the various forms. The swift, calligraphic strokes add life and vitality to the drawing.
