In this fourth drawing in a series of ten drawings of trees in the album, Nandalal depicts a man climbing a palm tree. He renders the subject in fine and light brushwork that defines his lean body. Nandalal brings out the structure of the palm tree employing swift, calligraphic strokes in the dry brush technique, that add spirit and strength to the drawing.
