Nandalal's drawings on postcards are spontaneous done either with pen or a brush, the aim was simply to capture the subject and the moment. In this sketch, Nandalal has depicted bamboo trees, rendered in dark loose brush strokes with mere dabs and dashes of ink. He has studied the forms in a minimalist manner, sparing much detail in the image.
