In this sketch, Nandalal has depicted an old man sitting on a chair, relaxing and having tea at his balcony, executed in thick, bold strokes of ink. He has also depicted three crows sitting at the edge of the window, referring them as tea partner, as mentioned in the inscription. The movement of the crows, as leaning down to bite, has been keenly observed by him.
