Nandalal's search for newer forms of expression and his inner urge to constantly innovate is well reflected in the multiple postcards, which portray the artist?s visual experiences of flora, fauna, people, their attires, life in rural villages, landscapes. In this sketch, Nandalal has depicted two men carrying their clothes and water vessels (Lota), returning after a bath. This has been executed with thick, bold strokes of ink and the folds of the drapery have been rendered with fluid fine lines, adding grace and life to the figures.
