Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment in the representation of its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. In this detailed line drawing, the artist has depicted two women, as one braids the other's hair, in fluid, short strokes of the pen, resulting in a realistic representation of the subject.
