A Sketch from Album No. 93 9357 Nandalal Bose Pen and ink and pencil on postcard

×
Nandalal had a strong affinity for sketching, his subjects being the surrounding environs, people in their everyday life or anything that he found fascinating. In this postcard, he has rendered a sketch of a women drinking water, executed with the use of delicate lines that create the visual effect of a sari, clinging to her body as she bends down. He has used the fine lines and strokes to model the figure and brings out grace and life to the composition.
