Nandalal, in his sketches, experimented with the representation of lines to attain texture and add vigour and life to the form of his figures. This postcard sketch by Nandalal is rendition of a woman in a standing posture along the door, swiftly executed in fine, fluid pencil strokes that suggest the modelling of the form and add life and vigour to the composition.
