Siva Kumar in the book, 'Rhythms of India: The Art of Nandalal Bose' writes, "Freed of the distracting noises of nation and tradition, these are quieter images. Here the artist becomes the marks his tool leaves on the paper, and the world becomes the weightless imprint of touch and space it leaves on his consciousness."
