This painting belongs to a series of monochromatic ink and watercolour paintings inspired by the Sumi-e Japanese technique the artist employed in the last phase of his life. The subject here being 'The Clouds/The Winds' executed from his memory and experiences. The painting here depicts a cloudy sky, rendered in soft curled brush strokes juxtaposed with straight, angled dashes of the winds. This painting was purchased from the collection of Shri Biswaroop Bose and Smt. Nivedita Bose.
