Nandalal has firm belief that for the creation of art an intimate understanding of the nature and its ways is imperative. In this sketch he has depicted a tree and a bird sitting on top of its branch against a landscape, executed with a range of fluid, rhythmic lines of pen and ink that lends tonal variation and brings out the true form of a tree.
