In this sketch, he has shown the condition of an old woman carrying pots and bucket filled with various goods, probably for selling, rendered against the backdrop of a tidal river. This has been executed in fluid yet firm, bold strokes of ink, suggesting the demeanour of the subject and highlighting the pale expression of the woman.
