Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm and life to the form of his figures. In this postcard sketch, he has depicted three horses galloping on the field, rendered in fluid, rhythmic lines delineating the forms and forming a pattern in the background.
