This is another one of Nandalal's quickly executed sketches. Characterised by their loose strokes and outlines, their purpose is to serve as studies of poses as well as an exploration of forms at their most basic. In this particular sketch, Nandalal has depicted a dog as it wanders. He has rendered the emaciated animal in short, fluid strokes of pen and watercolour .
