Nandalal had a strong affinity for sketching, his subjects being the surrounding environs, people in their everyday life or anything that he found fascinating. In this sketch, he has depicted an illustration of a lion attacking a child inside the hut. This has been executed in bold, linear strokes of ink delineating the form and compress in a stylized manner.
