Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. In this postcard sketch, he has made a sketch of a woman playing some musical instrument. He has employed the combined tonal variations of ink and textural properties of the pen to suggest the modelling of the form.
