This particular sketch executed with quick strokes is one of many examples of Nandalal's acute observation. He has here depicted from the back, a woman draped in a sari. The soft, calligraphic strokes of the brush delineate the contours of the female figure and with minimal strokes, he has suggested an archway in a subdued background.
