Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms which add rhythm, vigour and life to the form of the figures. Here he has rendered the sketch of a man sitting on the floor. The fluid handling of the line suggests the modelling of the body and the smudged pencil strokes highlight his facial features.
