In this sketch, Nandalal has depicted a parakeet amidst foliage in soft, fluid strokes of the pencil. As mentioned in the other works of the series, the artist has reproduced the image from the sketch book of an acquaintance, Moni Gupta who in turn drew it at Ceylone (now, Sri Lanka).
