This particular sketch executed with quick strokes is one of many examples of Nandalal's acute observation of his surroundings. He has rendered a landscape surrounded with grass huts and group of people engaged in some farming activity and two cows. In soft, smudged strokes of the pencil, he has depicted the subject in a swift manner, sparing much detail.
