Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment in the representation of its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. In this postcard sketch, he has rendered a scene of rural life, studying two women walking down a village path. The artist has rendered this sketch in fluid pencil strokes delineated in a swift manner to suggest the modelling of the forms.
