Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment in the representation of its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. In this postcard sketch, he has studied a group of people and executed it with soft, fluid pencil strokes that have been delineated in a swift manner, suggesting the modelling of their bodies.
