Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of his figures. In this postcard sketch, he has studied two women from the back, rendered in soft, fluid pencil strokes that have been delineated in a swift manner to suggest the modelling of their bodies.
