In this last sketch of a series of seven sketches of cattle in the album, Nandalal depicts a herd of cows guided by two herders in the fields near Gangtok in Sikkim. He renders the subject in fine, fluid outlines, delineated in an illustrative manner, sparing much detail. The light shading and swift, calligraphic strokes employed by Nandalal lend vigour and life to the entire sketch.
