In this last sketch of a series of three sketches of bears in the album, Nandalal depicts the head of a bear, closely studying its characteristic facial features. He also studies the eye and feet in smaller templates on the side. Nandalal renders the subject in bold outlines and a cluster of light and dark strokes that define the form of the bear.
