Nandalal's exploration of the different ways of delineating a line allowed him to experiment with its varying forms adding rhythm, vigour and life to the form of the figures. In this sketch, he has illustrated the sketch of a man dressed in attire traditional to the Far Eastern cultures. The fluid handling of the line and the thick strokes render the modelling of the body and facial features in an impressionistic manner.
